Christians: No One path to Salvation

Americans of every religious stripe are considerably more tolerant of the beliefs of others than most of us might have assumed, according to a new poll released Monday. The Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life last year surveyed 35,000 Americans, and found that 70% of respondents agreed with the statement “Many religions can lead to eternal life.” Even more remarkable was the fact that 57% of Evangelical Christians were willing to accept that theirs might not be the only path to salvation, since most Christians historically have embraced the words of Jesus, in the Gospel of John, that “no one comes to the Father except through me.” Even as mainline churches had become more tolerant, the exclusivity of Christianity’s path to heaven has long been one of the Evangelicals’ fundamental tenets. The new poll suggests a major shift, at least in the pews.

Even though it is a sad to know that 57% of American Evnagelical Christians believe this. But I want to paint a good picture by stating that this is a still a minority view, since 80% Evangelical Christians live outside of America. You would agree that one does not remain Evangelical if he or she does not believe in the Fundamental teachings of the Bible. Jesus said, ” I am THE WAY…” (John 14:6)

Apostle Johns writes, Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us. (I John 2:18-19)

The School invited Islamic Association of Palestine to give lecture about Islam

The School district in Houston, Texas gave permission to an Islamic organization to share Islamic faith. The organization apparently have connection with terrorist outfit Hamas. They raise money for Hamas. It is way of indoctrinating our Children with Islamic faith by way of lecture. And it has been arranged by people who know them but also these lectures are paid by tax-payers of the country. They would get the money and would be used to fund the Hamas. Parents of the children should have been informed and what was school thinking? I am really shocked and furious and upset. The organization is called Islamic Association for Palestine. I am really upset. Write your comment, what do you think?

Freedom of Religion in America

What I have appreciated about the country is the freedom of religion in this country. One can travel to any country but would not find such a freedom of expression, speech and religion anywhere. I have come to appreciate it. We should appreciate the freedom of religion that we enjoy in this country because there is not a single in this world where people enjoy such a religious freedom. Read how Christians are persecuted and Christianity is opposed and Christian missionaries are not allowed.

On this day, July 4th, I would encourage to give thanks to God who have blessed us with such a freedom.  I have also appreciated Christian values and principles on which this country was founded.

People from different faith and cultures have come to enjoy this freedom. On the other hand, there are countries where Christians are persecuted and tortured. This is one good thing America can teach the world to respect and allow freedom to preach, promote and propogate.
